This Privacy Policy explains how Alqa Tech (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website and use our Android POS application (together, the “Services”).

By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Information we collect

We collect information to operate the POS app, improve user experience, and secure accounts.

1) Customer / account information

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Email address

2) Login/session & technical information

When you log in or use the app, we store:

  • User Email
  • IP Address
  • Location (approximate, from IP/device settings where available)
  • Device information (e.g., device model, OS/app version)
  • Issued At (session creation time)
  • Status (account/session status)

3) POS Shop Settings

Information entered by you in the app settings:

  • Shop Name
  • Shop Email
  • Shop Number
  • Shop Address
  • Thank You Message
  • AI API Key (optional, if you add one)

4) Support communications

If you contact us, we may collect the details you share (messages and any troubleshooting info you provide).

How we use your information

We use collected information to:

  • Create and manage accounts, enable login, and operate POS features.
  • Maintain security, detect suspicious activity, and prevent misuse.
  • Store and apply your shop configuration (billing/receipt settings and related setup).
  • Improve performance, fix bugs, and enhance user experience.
  • Respond to support requests and communicate service-related updates.

Payments (Razorpay)

Payments for the app are processed through Razorpay.

We do not store card details, UPI PIN, CVV, netbanking credentials, or other sensitive payment instrument information on our servers.

Payment processing and authentication are handled by Razorpay and relevant payment networks according to their policies.

Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data only when necessary:

  • With Razorpay to process payments and confirm payment status.
  • With service providers (hosting, communications, analytics/crash reporting) strictly to operate the Services.
  • For legal reasons if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights and safety.

Data retention

We retain personal and app-related data only as long as needed to provide the Services, meet legal/accounting obligations, and maintain security.

When no longer required, we delete or anonymize data where reasonably possible.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

AI API Key note: If you store an AI API Key in Shop Settings, treat it like a password; keep it confidential, use restricted keys where possible, and rotate it if compromised.

Your rights and choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your account information by contacting info@alqatech.in.

Some records may be retained where required by law or for legitimate security purposes.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, and the updated version will be posted with a revised Effective Date.
